We are the controller of the personal information we collect through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your information, email info@tekcontracts.co.uk or call +44 (0)1543 459 333.

What information we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us, plus basic technical information needed to run the website. This includes:

  • Enquiry forms: your name, company, email address, phone number, the type of enquiry, the service and project location you are interested in, how you heard about us, and the details of your project.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
  • Website usage: if you accept analytics cookies, information about how you found our website and which pages you visited, such as the search engine, link or campaign that brought you here.
  • Emails and calls: any information you include when you contact us directly.
  • Technical information: our website host automatically processes information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the website securely.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry, provide quotes and discuss your project. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests, or because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract.
  • Send you our newsletter, if you have signed up. We do this with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Run, protect and improve this website, which is in our legitimate interests.
  • Understand which pages, campaigns and marketing channels lead to enquiries, so we can improve our website and marketing. We only collect this information if you accept analytics cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We will never sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run our business. These include our website host, Webflow, which also processes our website forms; HubSpot, which we use to manage enquiries, measure how visitors use our website and send our newsletter; and Nexvia, which we use to manage quotations, tenders and projects. They may only use your information on our instructions.

We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where we are required to by law.

International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Webflow, HubSpot and Nexvia, are based outside the UK or store information outside the UK. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law are in place.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
  • Client records: as long as needed to deliver our services and meet our legal obligations, typically six years after a project ends.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep the website working and secure, and remember your cookie choices. These are always on.

With your permission, we also use analytics cookies provided by HubSpot. These help us understand how visitors find and use our website, for example which pages are viewed and whether a visit came from a search engine, social media or one of our campaigns. If you then send us an enquiry, this information is linked to your enquiry.

We only set analytics or advertising cookies if you accept them through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Some project pages include videos hosted on YouTube. These are shown in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and do not load until you press play. Once you do, YouTube may set its own cookies, which are covered by Google's privacy policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Ask us to restrict or stop using your information.
  • Ask for your information in a format you can transfer to another organisation.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email info@tekcontracts.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
